Citrix Vice President, Products and Solutions Architecture
Nabeel Youakim has been with Citrix for 20 years. He is responsible for the product directions and strategies within the Citrix product group. Youakim leads a team architects and field product leads with a focus on strategic alliances. His role includes working with the key alliances, including Microsoft to ensure alignment around product directions. He is based at Citrix headquarters in Fort Lauderdale Florida.
In his previous role Youakim was VP APAC products and Microsoft Alliance where he managed Citrix product portfolio for vison, strategy and roadmap development for APAC. He was also responsible for the Microsoft Alliance in the APAC region, developing the joint engagement of Citrix’s relationship with Microsoft.
Also previously at Citrix he was based at Citrix HQ and was the global product line executive for XenApp, responsible for product strategy, roadmap and the global go to market initiatives. Youakim has also been responsible for the global strategic development and future direction of Citrix’s relationship and engagement with Microsoft. During this period Citrix was named Microsoft Global ISV of the year for both 2003 and 2005. Citrix and Microsoft continue their strategic partnership with a number of joint initiatives.
Youakim has also served as area vice president, Citrix Systems Australia and New Zealand and also as Citrix managing director, Asia Pacific. Under his leadership, the company experienced significant growth in the region, including the establishment of new offices in Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and India as well as starting the Citrix business in China and South Korea.
Prior to joining Citrix in 1998, Youakim held director positions in sales and marketing at Microsoft. He also served as general manager for Pacific Partners and as sales manager for Law Data Services. He began his technology career with 10 years at Burroughs/Unisys.
Youakim holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Technology and a graduate diploma in marketing management from the Macquarie University Graduate School of Management, both in Sydney, Australia.
